After 2 days of pro-am games (2nd and 3rd July) the Audi Cork Irish Masters kicked off from 4-6th July and proved a record breaking event with a worthy winner.

Scotsman Eddie Saltman won the three day tournament in spectacular style winning by eight shots to break the course record. The win means he is now in the lead in the PGA EuroPro Tour Order of Merit by just £8.33 as the tour passes the halfway point. Such a record breaking easy victory didn’t look likely going the final round as Saltman had started the day tied for the lead with Australian Rika Batibasaga and Welshman Stuart Manley but a superb ten-under-par 61 lead the Scotsman to a comfortable victory and a £10,000 winner’s cheque.
