Mediterranean Weather Reminds Us Of The Beauty of Cork Beaches

The summer came to Ireland in style this year giving us one of the hottest summers we’ve had for quite some time. Whilst over the years we have come to expect rain, rain and more rain in a typical Irish summer, the last few weeks has seen Ireland enveloped in a heatwave, transforming into a sun resort of sorts with people now flocking to our much underused but gorgeous beaches in their droves. The fine dry weather is also providing the perfect excuse to don the sun cream, put on our swimwear and sunglasses and fully explore the many beaches and resorts right on our doorstep without even boarding a plane.

This heatwave with temperatures soaring to late 20’s and beyond has us donning our swimwear and heading off to the beach or local swimming pool not just to top up a tan but also for a much needed dip in the water to cool down. Continue reading
