Disappointment for Cork as they loose out to Clare at the All Ireland Hurling Final

A defiant Cork certainly rose to the challenge of returning to Croke Park to face the mighty Clare team once again following their draw just a few weeks prior. The first attempt was a thrilling match that certainly had both sets of fans at the edge of their seat. With the game finishing up as a draw – in what many would agree was a ‘fair’ result, the two teams were faced with the challenge of doing it all over again.

As fans raced to secure tickets for the replay, both the Cork and Clare teams spent the time training and mentally preparing to face each other once more. Both teams played their hearts out at the sold out fixture but there can only be one winner. Clare took the edge and were deserving winners of the Liam McCarthy Cup. Congratulations to the Clare team and well done to the rebels for their performances this season.
