Fota Island Resort will be hosting a specially organised conference for one of the country’s leading industrial software providers, Wonderware Ireland. The event is scheduled to take place on the 29th March 2017.
The event which forms part of the Next Generation Roadshow will allow manufacturers and system integrators to have an exclusive look at the Wonderware Ireland’s latest innovations and developments.
Fota Island was featured in a recent article by The Irish Post which listed it’s ten favourite islands off the Irish coast. With many of Ireland’s islands already popular tourist destinations in their own right such as the Aran Islands, there are a multitude of wonderful hidden and not-so-hidden gems to be discovered.
It has been an eventful summer on Fota Island with so much happening including the introduction of The Asian Sanctuary at the Wildlife Park and, of course, the hosting of the Irish Open at the neighbouring Fota Island Cork Golf Club. However, one of the more significant events which was slightly overlooked was the birth of a red panda cub almost 3 months ago. The cute little redhead has being spotted on numerous occasions around the park with its mother Bonnie since the birth and has become a firm favourite with visitors to the Wildlife Park, Fota House and the 5 star Cork hotel and golf resort.
Tomorrow (Thursday September 20th) Fota House will play their part in the Biggest Coffee Morning to ever hit Ireland. From 10am to 1pm tomorrow all funds raised will go to Marymount Hospice.
Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning is now in its 20th year and is the main fundraiser for hospice services nationwide. The coffee mornings are sponsored by Beweley’s. Patrons will be asked to donate €2 asked for every cup of coffee.
Fota House is open everyday from 10am to 5pm (Monday-Saturday) and 11am-5pm (Sunday). Please keep in mind that the last guided tour of Fota House departs at 3.30pm. For more information call 021 481 5543 or email on email@example.com. For hotels near Cork contact us on 021 488 3700.
