Fota Wildlife Park to Celebrate 30 years in Business

On Thursday the 9th of May, the Pavilion in Cork acted as the host for the launch of Fota Wildlife Park’s Summer Carnival which will celebrate the popular attraction’s 30 years in business.

The return of popular children’s puppet Bosco was just one of the reasons behind the huge turnout for the launch. Magician Tony Baloney, mentalist Liam Sheehan and Cork Circus act Hakuna Matata also performed to the captivated audience.  Continue reading

Christmas at Fota Wildlife Park

Christmas is just days away and there are many more events and opportunities to make the most out of the festive holiday getting in some last minute shopping and family events etc. And with only days left there is still of course one last chance of a visit to see Santa Claus and his grotto before Christmas day. On Fota Wildlife Park, here on Fota Island in East Cork, Santa is still available to take requests and welcome young guests right up until this Sunday 23rd December.

For the past few weeks from Friday November 23rd and ending this weekend on Sunday 23rd December Santa Claus along with his elves has turned the education complex in Fota Wildlife Park into his grotto. As well as Santas grotto, Fota have embraced the festive spirit with many features of the popular wildlife park complex such as the Red Tour Train all decked out for the festive season. Completing the festive mood is the savannah café which has been serving a particularly festive menu keeping in line with the holiday spirit. Continue reading
